So it is easy for me to make up my mind and tell you Grim Dawn will never disappoint any arpg fan. and yes its better than d3, i have about 1200 hours in grim dawn and have also played poe since closed beta. Grim dawn is simply better than poe in many ways, lets just face facts here most people that play poe play it solo.
you no longer need to play through the story three times, you can buy unlocks in the game for new characters. Its not hard to farm the gear you want if you play it enough or trade on the GD forums.Ĥ. resists are kinda easy to get the more you play.ģ. not really true, since game launched melee has shined. Probably more I could think of if I had time. Still, it's a tedious and boring process that gets old real quick when rolling alts. (There are potions to skip some of this if you have the FG expac). You can guess how many legendaries you want that you will actually get.you know RNG and all.Ĥ) You have to play through the story THREE times on Normal, Elite and Ultimate for every character you want to level. Becomes tedious to gear especially when you can't roll stuff on to your gear like in POE.ģ) It's hard to farm the legendary gear you want because there aren't any real boss specific drops. There are 9 types plus you need stun resistance especially as a melee character. You will have a much less frustrating experience playing ranged/caster.Ģ) There are just too damn many damage types that you have to have resistances for. All in with the expansions you're talking $60ish.ġ) Melee is a real challenge (Read: P.I.T.A) for whatever reason in this game.
